Welcome to My Painting World
I have been painting for over 20 years, mainly in watercolours. I chose this medium because I loved the light shining through the paper so most of my work is done in transparent colours.
I am very active in the art community here on Vancouver Island and I bring in International Artists to give workshops here twice a year. Since I live in the flower capital of Canada I do alot of florals but have recently branched out into combining my watercolours with acrylic and I really like the affect.
What glorious summer weather we are having. The flowers are so plentiful and my garden is bursting with color. It is a good time to take reference photos for the grey winter days.
I have a Lily of the Nile opening right now and I really love them.. this one is blue.
