In this painting I tried to make it as busy as the poppies were in the garden. A riot of colour!

Schizanthus is also called Butterfly Flower or Poor Man's Orchid. I really like their delicate flowers..I tried to paint this loose and airy..

What glorious summer weather we are having. The flowers are so plentiful and my garden is bursting with color. It is a good time to take reference photos for the grey winter days.

I have a Lily of the Nile opening right now and I really love them.. this one is blue.

My garden has lots of sweetpeas this year and so I sat amongst them and did this painting today.

I had to photograph this painting from the side because the flash just bounced off the gold and made it a blur. This is a piece of masks, music and texture. I call it Midnight at Mardi Gras
